| The BlueStation
is a low-cost Bluetooth network access
point series developed by Clipcomm,
Inc. Within its service range, the BlueStation
provides mobile devices with easy, secure,
inexpensive, and high-speed connectivity
to the Internet. In addition, the BlueStation
provides your mobile phone or PDA with
wireless connection to existing voice
networks, which enables you to make
a wireless phone call at a lower cost
using your portable devices. When your
Bluetooth enabled mobile devices are
connected to the BlueStation-A101, the
built-in voice over IP (VoIP) gateway
of the BlueStation-A101 |

|
enables your mobile phone or PDA to support wireless Internet phone calls, while the BlueStation- A100/A101 wirelessly connects your mobile devices to PSTN or VoIP. The PocketPC Phonizer is software that empowers
your PDA or Notebook PCs to be connected to the
legacy wired voice network via BlueStation for wireless
phone calls.

The BlueStation-A100 (BS-A100) is a full-featured
telephone with additional Bluetooth LAN and PSTN
access point functionalities. The BS-A100 enables
your mobile phone or PDA equipped with Bluetooth
technology to be used as a portable PSTN phone.
In
addition, BS-A100 also provides Bluetooth headset
connectivity so that you may walk around untethered
while you are on the phone. Within its service range,
BS-A100 also provides the mobile devices with easy,
secure, and high-speed connectivity to the LAN and
the Internet.
The BS-A100 is intended for the personal use at
home and office environments. It simply replaces
the existing wireless telephone
station on the desk enabling your mobile phone to
be used as a portable phone at a fixed-line charge
without any additional service subscription. The
personal information such as phonebook in your mobile
devices can be synchronized with the BS-A100, which
relieves you from duplicating personal information
management. The BS-A100 also functions as a Bluetooth
LAN access point that wirelessly connects your mobile
devices to the Internet.
The BlueStation-A101 (BS-A101) is a VoIP/PSTN dual
mode version of the BS-A100. Users can switch the
mode of BS-A101 between PSTN and VoIP. In its VoIP
mode, BS-A101 performs the function of a Bluetooth-VoIP
gateway as well as an ordinary IP Phone. Regardless
of the BS-A101 mode status, the mobile users can
access the BS-A101 using their PDAs or cellular
phones that support standard Bluetooth Cordless
Telephony Profile to make or receive wireless phone
calls through either PSTN or VoIP. |

The PocketPC Phonizer is software that
empowers your PDA or Notebook PC to be connected
to the legacy wired voice network via BlueStation
for wireless phone calls. The PocketPC Phonizer
sends call control and voice signals to a nearby
Bluetooth access point that supports Bluetooth Cordless
Telephony Profile, and the access point converts
signals between Bluetooth and PSTN (or VoIP). When
the PocketPC Phonizer is served either by the BS-V100
or BS-A101, users can make a wireless VoIP call
even if the PDA does
not support the complex VoIP protocol stack and
speech processing. This approach is useful for the
PDA and mobile phone applications that are very
sensitive to power-consumption and memory requirements.
In addition, the PocketPC Phonizer can share
personal information such as phone number directories
with mobile phones or PCs supporting Bluetooth Synchronization
Profile. The PocketPC Phonizer is the first realization
of true voice-data integrated wireless terminal
based on the Bluetooth Technology! |
